There are some ways in which you can deal with skin tags yourself. No matter where the affected skin is, you can completely cover the skin tag with clear nail polish twice a day. This works on any skin tag on neck, face, legs, buttocks, and anal region too. Another remedy is making a thick paste of castor oil and baking soda mixed together and applying it on the skin tag several times a day.
It will take about two weeks for the skin tag to dry and fall off. You can also soak in warm bath for about 20 minutes, pat dry the skin tag and apply apple cider vinegar with a cotton swab. Applying tea tree oil is also quite effective. Both these products have astringent properties that can get rid of the skin tags even from the anal region. Before applying any product, please ensure that your skin does not have allergic reaction to any of it. That is why using a skin tag removal cream is so effective.
As food is digested, it passes from the stomach to the small intestine. It then travels from the small intestine into the main part of the large intestine (called the colon). The colon absorbs water and salt from the digested food. The waste matter that is left after going through the colon is known as feces or stool. Feces are stored in the lower part of the large intestine, called the rectum, which is the final 6 inches of the digestive system. From there, they pass out of the body through the anus as a bowel movement.
Papillae may become painful, and reddened. Inflammation of papillae or crypts is frequently associated with fissures, fistulas, Crohn’s disease, pruritus ani, and/or internal hemorrhoids. Inflammation of papillae may result from trauma or chemical irritation, such as the passage of hard stools or of irritating liquid stool.
I have had an anal skin tag for years after a hemorrhoid healed incorrectly. I am a huge wuss about pain and would never do the dental floss method, plus I don’t believe in having surgery unless it’s really warranted, so I just take some extra fiber with my tea and eat lots of vegetables to keep my stool from getting too hard. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
However, anal skin tags can cause a few problems apart from pain, such as anal itching. If fecal matter gets trapped underneath a skin tag, the resultant skin irritation can be quite annoying. Scratching will only make the problem worse though. Instead, if you suffer from anal skin tags, learn to clean thoroughly and gently with either plain water or a non-irritating cleanser such as witch hazel or aloe vera extract. So hygiene is important to minimize the symptoms.
